Lowest price Chicago Real Estate

Chicago real estate has taken a big hit but when we were searching for a new Chicago condo we were amazed at how much lower the prices were. In several cases its at the point where a mortgage now is far less then rent in Chicago and I have heard that their is a lot of upside in this market. One thing for example that will help the Chicago real estate market is getting the Olympics. Even if this doesn’t happen Chicago condos going for under 200k use to be unheard of and now we are seeing these prices and lower. We are seeing more incentives in purchasing Chicago real estate vs other cities like access to water with lake Michigan, a great transportation system that is inexpensive, fine dining, great theaters, and Chicago condos have more space then places in cities similar in size. A two bedroom in Chicago will be on average over 1500-2000 square feet where as in new york the square footage for 2 bedroom is cut in half.
